Our year long study of the Gospel of John ended with a core group tea. Each member took home a nice mug filled with a sample of Twinings Teas and encouraged to extend hospitality just as Jesus told us: "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. (John 13:34) The acronymn on the bottom of the card read: Hospitality is one way to love one another! Open your heart and reach out. Share what you already have. Put away your pride. Invite a new friend in. Turn a blind eye to the mess. Allow God to love through you. Listen well. Initiate friendship. Turn off competing distractions. Yield to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
